The Minnesota NHL Alumni Association is a fully accredited non-profit charitable corporation operating within IRS section 501(c)(3).
Our mission is to provide charitable support for deserving Minnesota organizations and to foster the growth of hockey for youth, particularly those who are underprivileged.
As an organization, the Minnesota NHL Alumni Association has contributed over four hundred thousand dollars in scholarships and contributions to such organizations as American Cancer, Camp Confidence, Masterton Foundation, Inner City Youth Hockey, as well as various youth hockey organizations across the state and additionally to multiple Military Veteran organizations.
In 2012, the Minnesota NHL Alumni Association initiated a new philanthropic program to donate AED defibrillators to Minnesota youth hockey rinks that were not equipped with these life-saving devices. Over the years the MN NHL Alumni has purchased and installed approximately 100 AED’s across the entire state. Quality AED defibrillators cost approximately $2,000 each.
